Electric Vehicle (EV) Research

This project investigates the economic, policy, and spatial drivers of electric vehicle (EV) adoption across the United States using state-level data from 2016–2023.

Data can be found here:

• EV adoption by state (2016–2023): EV adoption as a percentage of total vehicle population, by state. DATA
• EV adoption with state-level variables (2023): income, fuel prices, infrastructure, incentives, urbanization. DATA

We compiled the data from the following sources: the U.S. Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center, the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Census Bureau.
